Your concert at the Bayview Opera House tonight was emotionally and musically wonderful.
I sat in the front row (such luck) and let myself be transported. When you sing again in San Francisco I’d like to know, and if I can ever feed you or drink coffee or tea with you I’d love to do that. When I was young I got to sing Ballad for Americans behind Paul Robeson in his brother’s church in Manhattan, and this experience reminded me of that one. The control and joy of your singing moved me, or as they say in Spanish, me emocione. Thank you. And, just for fun, I need to tell you my name, Sydney, named after my father’s cousin who died in Spain, fighting against Franco. Thank you for it all.
